A San Francisco native with French and Japanese American heritage, he loves landscape architecture and planning, especially when it is performed in partnership with community.  His craft is shaped by a lifelong journey of bridging cultures and honoring the many layers that connect people to the land.  Nic focuses on designing resilient, joyful environments rooted in natural systems and collective care. Known for his collaborative spirit and grounded approach, he’s led dozens of community-driven projects through listening, trust-building, and creative problem-solving. He believes that openly shared wisdom leads to enduring design solutions that benefit all.

Nic is a graduate of the University of California at Davis and is a Washington State registered landscape architect who started his professional career in the Bay Area and has been in practice in the Northwest since 2002.
